SNAP Food Stamp Assistance in Nevada

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a federal grant program given to states in order to assist low income individuals and families with providing proper nutrition and food. Individual states may also have local programs available to provide additional support.

SNAP benefits are limited to those at or below 30% of the national poverty level. Currently, the program will provide individuals with up to $200 and a family of four with up to $668. Please be aware that these may change at any time.

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Programs in Nevada

WIC is a state-run federally funded program for low-income residents. The program provides funds for health care, education and supplemental foods for low-income women, infants and children up to five years of age who are believed to be at risk. When applying for SNAP benefits, if eligible you may also apply for WIC benefits which will help cover you purchase additional food at any grocery store.

Food Assistance Eligibility

Only a trained specialist can properly determine your program eligibility, though being at or below 30% of the national poverty level may be a good indication of assistance eligibility. Please contact your state office to find out whether or not you qualify.
